All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Isaiah 53:6
Dear Friends,
Last week in the US we celebrated Thanksgiving. Whenever I go home for Thanksgiving I attend the Free Methodist church near my parents’ house. While there, I learned that missionaries from their church recently visited Sierra Leone. Seventeen Muslims converted to Christianity and were baptized. Even though they are shunned by their family for doing so, Muslims in Africa are continuing to come to Christ. The church’s goal before the end of the year is to fund tin roofs for five churches in Sierra Leone.
I am thankful that God is still adding to the church daily such as should be saved. I understand that there are many who do not have much to be thankful for this year, but no matter who you are or how bad your situation, you can be thankful that your iniquity has been laid on Christ. All you need to do to receive his forgiveness is confess Him with your mouth and believe on Him in your heart. Thank You Father for keeping your promise to spread the gospel to all nations. We know and believe that this means your Son is coming back soon just as He promised. Help us to all be ready for Him, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
