Dear Friends,
To see and examine something with clarity, you must shine a bright light on it. Jesus, the true Light, therefore revealed the true nature of the Sadducees, the scribes, and the Pharisees. They fooled the people (and themselves) with their long robes, enlarged borders (wide trim), broad phylacteries, and their long prayers, but when exposed by the spotlight of the Truth, these things were revealed to be nothing more than props used to deceive. (2 Tim 3:13)
When we left off last week, the confrontation between Jesus and the scribes and Pharisees was getting heated. They brazenly implied that Jesus was conceived out of wedlock, while maintaining that they were sons of Abraham who had God as their Father. The tension that has been simmering ever since Jesus began his public ministry is coming to a full boil.
Father, give us understanding as we continue in your word, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
John 8:42-59
42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
Jesus always makes things so easy. This simple test shows whether somebody really loves the Father in heaven. If they love Jesus, they love the Father.
43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
From the beginning of his Gospel, John has stressed the paramount importance of the Word. Jesus made every attempt to explain the true meaning of the Scriptures to the scribes and Pharisees, but they refused to hear Him. They were wise in their own conceit. Solomon said there is more hope for a fool than for such an one. (Pr 26:12) To understand the Bible, you have to listen. Ie, you have to read it with an open mind and let God explain it to you through the ministry of the Holy Spirit (John 16:13; 1 John 2:27).
44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Satan began lying to mankind in Genesis 3. His lies led to the death of the human race. They say two things in life are inevitable, but not quite. Not everyone pays taxes but everyone dies. It is only through faith in Christ that we can be made alive again. (Eph 2:1)
45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.
46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?
47 He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.
48 Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?
According to the Jewish Encyclopedia, genealogy records were kept in the Temple. (More here.) The Pharisees had no doubt checked Jesus’ ancestry, as that would have been the simplest way to discredit Him. They knew He was not a Samaritan, but like Jesus said, they were liars.
49 Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me.
50 And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth.
51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.
52 Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death.
The Pharisees rejected the path to life, faith in Jesus’ word. Keeping the word of Jesus is the key to life. While Jesus is the firstborn from the dead (Col 1:18), Satan is the firstborn of the dead (Job 18:13). Satan’s first lie was an attack on the word of God (Gen 3:1-5).
53 Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? [cf Mark 12:27] and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself?
They repeat it twice, their false assumption that Abraham is dead. All who reject God love death and are obsessed with death. That is why people like horror movies. But Abraham is alive, as is everyone who ever put their faith in Messiah.
54 Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:
55 Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.
56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
Abraham saw Jesus’ day by faith. By faith, Abraham offered Isaac in a figure (Heb 11:17-19) and God provided a ram for a substitute. Abraham prophesied that God would provide Himself as a lamb for a substitute (Gen 22:8), which He did 2000 years later in the death and resurrection of Christ.
57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
The answer is yes. Jesus saw Abraham in Genesis 14 when He appeared to him as Melchizedek. Melchizedek was none other than the pre-incarnate Christ.
58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
John 8:42-59
When the chapter began, they wanted to stone the woman caught in adultery. As the chapter closes, they want to stone Jesus. They have murder in their hearts. We have exactly the same thing happening in the world today. Just as the aristocracy of Israel refused to submit to God’s Messiah, the elite of the new world order likewise refuse to submit to the God of the Bible (Ps 2:3). Just as Jesus charged the elite of his day with being of their father, the devil, for decades, the church, the body of Christ, has been saying that the new world order is of the devil. Just as the temple leadership declared war on Jesus, the new world order has now openly declared war on the church. It’s clear that they have murder in their hearts, and the killing has already begun. Not only with those who receive the shots, but also with those who resist. The three presidents who rejected the shots for their countries are now dead. One of them in particular, President Magufuli of Tanzania, exposed the hoax by sending samples from a goat and a papaya for testing, which of course, tested positive for COVID. Hundreds of churches are being burned across Europe, though it is rarely reported. Everything the church has warned about for decades is transpiring before our very eyes. The new world order is doing everything in their power to inflate the prices of food and energy, ie to collapse the American economy, just as they have in several other countries. I spoke to a rancher this week who explained to me that despite the rise in beef prices, he is losing money. It is the big meatpacking corporations that are reaping the profits and they have a monopoly. Monopolies are supposed to be illegal, but these corporations are being abetted by the government shutting down independent butchers with nonsense regulations. This is only the beginning. It is far worse in other places. Pray for the church in South Africa, in Cuba, and everywhere else where life has become a living hell, all by design. Yes, things look dark, but as Christians, we know what is coming and how the Book ends.
When Moses inquired of God as to who he should say sent him, God said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. Therefore, when Jesus said I am, the scribes and Pharisees understood that Jesus was claiming to be the same God that delivered them from Egypt. That is why they tried to stone Him. In the time leading up to the Exodus, things looked very dark for Israel. The people continually questioned Moses’ actions. They told Moses that they would be better off to remain slaves to Pharaoh, who was a type of Satan. However, along with the judgment that God was bringing on Egypt, a type of the world, He was preparing a great deliverance for his people. The same is true today. Yes, there are terrible things taking place, but along with God’s judgment on this world, He is also preparing a great deliverance for his people.
In closing, in last week’s passage, Jesus contrasted the difference between the seed of Abraham and the children of Abraham. In this week’s notes, He contrasted the children of the devil (v 44) with the children of God (v 42), but did you know that the Bible says the devil has his own seed (Gen 3:15)? Along with the mighty deliverance that is being prepared for the children of God, there is a strong delusion being prepared for the children of the devil, and Satan is going to use his seed to pull it off:
…..And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

The strong delusion Paul speaks of in 2 Thessalonians 2:11 is the luciferian cult of the UFO. Just as the sons of God (fallen angels) mingled with the seed of men in Genesis 6, the same thing takes place in the cult of the UFO. For decades, news reports, media profiles, movies, popular songs, cartoons, books, false prophets, and independent researchers have been promoting the cult of the UFO. The mainstream media has recently joined in, with a plethora of reports paving the way for the strong delusion, ie, the cult of the UFO. The messiah of the new world order will lie and say the church was not really caught up to heaven. He will be a liar and a murderer just like his father, the devil. It is all a big lie. Their spaceships cannot really travel contrary to the laws of physics like they say they can. They do that with holograph technology. Even if they show proof of civilization on the moon or somewhere else in our solar system, it will just mean that the nephalim (Gen 6) have been there waiting to make their move. You have been warned.
Prophecy Update Addendum: This week South Africa burned. Businesses and shops shut down over urban riots following the sentencing of former president Zuma. Order is being restored but President Ramaphosa said the unrest was “planned.” There was epic flooding in Germany, as well as Belgium, and the Netherlands. In the US, the Cyber Polygon drills telegraphed a major internet shutdown is coming at a time of the new world order’s choosing. In Cuba, where a bag of rice now costs US $30, but is only available to those fortunate enough to have foreign currency, the Internet has been shut down and government forces have been deployed to stifle dissent. People in Paris are protesting their lockdowns and vaccine passports. No such luck in Los Angeles. All these things are birth pangs, ie sorrows (KJV), (Matt 24:7f). They indicate our King is coming soon.
