John 1:14 – The Word Became Flesh

…..And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
John 1:14

Dear Friends,

2021 has been quite a year, for most of us better than 2020, a time of change and preparing, ie preparing to meet our Lord and preparing to endure should He tarry. In my walk, as well as in the lives of other Christians I have been in contact with, I see the Lord directing our paths.

If things are hard for you this Christmas, imagine Joseph and Mary, having to travel to Bethlehem while pregnant without a car. They probably had donkeys but they were still forced into a very uncomfortable and difficult situation by a very oppressive government. I believe that for us, just as for them, the hassles that we are being subjected to will end in joy with the coming of our Lord. For us, some have lost loved ones to the shots, or other criminal practices of a corrupt system. For them, some had lost family members to crucifixion by the Roman Empire. After a hard journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem and searching for a place to stay, only to end up in a stable with Mary going into labor, their sorrow was quickly turned to joy when JESUS was born, and visitors started showing up to worship Him. Things were put into perspective as they beheld our King. Let us keep our eyes on Christ, that we may keep things in perspective.

Father, thank You for the hope we have of an eternity with You in the New Jerusalem and the world to come, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
