John 3:17-21 – Because Their Deeds Were Evil

Dear Friends,

Greetings in Christ!

This week we finish looking at the monologue that Jesus offered to Nicodemus when he came to Him by night. Thus far, Jesus has emphasized the doctrine of sola fide, or faith alone. Before He is done, however, Jesus will shift gears and close by adding that faith is manifested through works. Jesus often preached on the importance of a pure heart. (Matt 5:8; 9:4; 18:35; 19:8; 22:37; Mark 8:17; 11:23; Luke 6:45; 8:15; 12:34; 16:15; John 12:40) He said, whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. The problem begins in the heart. The act of adultery would not happen if the heart was right. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man. It has well been said that the heart of the matter is a matter of the heart. When one believes on Christ and receives Him as his personal Saviour, the Holy Spirit purifies his heart through faith. (Acts 15:9) Therefore, faith, or believing, is the key to having a pure heart. So what if you do not believe? Solomon said Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established. (Pr 16:3) In other words, if you start going through the motions of going to church, reading your Bible and doing what it says, eventually the thoughts (faith) will follow.

Father, I know that You will be sending your Son back soon. Thank You for my free will. I offer it back to You and ask You to conform my will to yours, that I may finish well and make the most of the rest of my life. Please give me understanding as I read your word, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

John 3:17-21
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Oftentimes when someone is close to receiving Christ, he will be scared that he will not be accepted. Sometimes this fear is so strong that it keeps him from receiving Christ. I once had a coworker tell me that he almost accepted Christ in a park where some Christians put on a concert and gave an altar call, but he was scared. This person was a classic alpha male, but he freely admitted he was scared. There is no need to be afraid of Jesus, however. He did not come to condemn us. He came to save us. It’s like in The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe by CS Lewis, when Susan asks Mr Beaver if the Lion (Jesus) is safe. Mr Beaver says, “Safe? … he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.” Unfortunately, since the gift of free will leaves the option open to reject Him, the foolish often choose to do so.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Because of Adam’s sin, the devil has our souls by default unless we receive Christ. The main thing that keeps people from going to heaven is the sin of unbelief. The older I get, the more sense this makes to me. Nobody likes it when someone tells him they don’t believe him. It makes it even worse when you are telling someone something they need to hear for their own good, but they refuse to believe it. For Jesus to give everything, suffering and dying for us, only to be told by someone that he does not believe Him is the ultimate insult.

19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

To make matters even worse, when one tells Jesus he doesn’t believe Him, he then teams up with the murderer who wants to kill him, Satan. (Luke 11:23) Like if you rescue a damsel from a horrible murderer who was going to torture her. In rescuing her from torture and death, you yourself are tortured by him but then she says, well I think I like the murderer better than you and leaves with him.

20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

A child who covers his eyes thinks he cannot be seen. Likewise, some reject Christ because they don’t want their deeds to be reproved, which, of course, they will be eventually anyway. Jesus created the seeing eye and the hearing ear. (Pr 20:12) He sees and hears all that is done and nobody can hide from Him.

21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
John 3:17-21

Despite God’s inestimable grace, his never-ending forgiveness, available to anyone who will come to Him with a repentant heart, many love darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil. Case in point: One of the many challenges facing us in 2021 is the pressure to take the COVID vaccine. I recommend you visit the website below and download the current data on adverse reactions to the COVID vaccines in 2021. Thousands of reports, ranging from vomiting to hearing loss to death — and hundreds of other symptoms — have been reported so far this year by those who willingly took the ‘vaccine’ which is not a vaccine. And they are just getting started. Everyone who takes this ‘vaccine’ which is not a vaccine is in for a horribly rude awakening as months and years go by. As more people get sick and die, they will inevitably say that the deaths are caused by a new pathogen, when in reality it will be the vaccine that is not a vaccine that killed them. If you are wondering how top-level scientists could be so easily manipulated into what is clearly evil and psychotic behavior, well that was what the Jeffery Epstein blackmail operation was for. In some cases even that was not necessary. They went along with this because they are eugenicists who want to reduce the world’s population, or in other words because their deeds were evil.

What if you are one of them. What if you are part of the system. What if you are an active participant in the vaccine program and you are beginning to realize you are committing crimes against humanity. Jesus is waiting for you to repent. He did not come to condemn you. He came to save you. [H]im that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. Dear friend, do not consent to this pseudo-scientific death trap. Walk away. Jesus is merciful and He will forgive you. It is only a matter of time before the truth comes out. For now, it is up to us Christians to be the adults in the room, to be the voices of reason. If you feel like giving in and taking the ‘vaccine’, remember, you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s … be not ye the servants of men. If you refuse the vaccine you may be called a terrorist here on earth, but you will be called a lionheart in heaven. (Matt 5:12) In closing, some believe that eventually a ‘vaccine’ may be what the Bible calls the mark of the beast. In Revelation 13, the Bible says there will be a mark required for buying and selling. According to Scientific American, quantum dot technology is being developed at MIT that they hope can be used to provide scannable proof of vaccination. This technology has a palisade-like appearance when magnified. (A palisade is a row of sharpened spikes.) According to Strong, palisade is one of the possible translations of charagma, the Greek word for mark in Revelation 13:16-18. No word yet on whether the patch will go on the right hand or forehead, but it is easy to see how this could happen during the great tribulation period. They are already training us to get used to having our foreheads scanned for temperature. Welsh scientists are developing a ‘vaccine’ patch which uses a 4x4x4 palisade pattern.

What if during the great tribulation period, instead of requiring a mask for buying and selling they require a mark that shows proof of vaccination on the right hand or forehead? What if they modify this technology to be based on a 6x6x6 dot-matrix instead of a 4x4x4 matrix? I believe something like this is how it will happen, but if you receive Christ now, you will not be left behind to find out. Those who are patiently watching and trusting in Christ will be saved from the great tribulation period. (Luke 21:34-36 et al) Those who refuse the mark during the great tribulation period will lose their heads. (Rev 20:4) Those who accept the mark during the great tribulation period will lose their souls. (Rev 14:11)

PS: In previous updates I cited CDC data admitting that by last August, only 10,000 people had died of COVID alone. Newly released CDC data reveals that only 6% of reported COVID deaths are solely due to COVID 19. (Scroll down to the heading ‘Comorbidities’.)

Persecution Update: In November I mentioned the civil war in Ethiopia in my notes as part of a Magog Update. One of the results of this war has been the slaughter of 750 Christians on December 15th in the Maryam Ts’iyon massacre. Pray for the persecuted church as the Holy Spirit leads.
